Jazz Bluegrass Folk concert with The Clare Horgan Band Friday 21st July

The Clare Horgan Band

Friday 21st July 8pm

What other singer could go straight from a televised performance with Cór Ban Chúil Aodh at the National Concert Hall singing Sean-Nós one day and two days later land in new York for a series of Jazz lessons (won as part of her music award from the annual Kerry County Council Arts Awards 2016) with Janis Siegel of “Manhattan Transfer”.
From her tour of Louisiana up state New York and Boston, highlights included silencing a packed Pier A in Battery Place with songs from Baile Bhuirne and Iveragh sharing the bill with leading traditional musicians at the “New York Trad fest”.

Clare Horgan returns to Tech Amergin by popular demand from her local fan base and this time with some fresh new material and some great arrangements of some of her heavily requested songs.
Backed by an excellent trio comprising of a guitarist, vocalist and multi-instrumentlist Mo O Connor, with fellow Corkman Pat Barrett on double and electric bass and Niall Dennehy on drums.
Brace yourself for a whistle stop tour of Brazilian dance rhythms, haunting sean-nós songs in Irish, raunchy blues and an interesting cocktail of everything from gospel to pop, country to folk with songs from the American Song book and 1930s movies.
Don’t miss this rare a chance to see Clare with her fantastic trio.

Tickets €15 / €12. Pre – booking essential on 066 9478956 /
