Woven Art Auction at Tech Amergin, Waterville
held on 13th December 2008



Money raised at auction was €11,210.
Now taking orders on signed limited editions (see below).

A unique event, where the works of 13 Kerry artists have been interpreted and translated into
tapestry by Setsoto Design Weaving Company in Lesotho. The auction is by way of launching the company
into the European marketplace and introducing their work to the artists of Ireland.

Setsoto Design pride themselves on being able to interpret and translate images from both painted
images and photography and would welcome any challenges that might be sent to them.

Pippa Kearon, Volunteer with Twinning the Kingdoms is acting in a voluntary capacity as an agent in Europe

The tapestries to be auctioned can be viewed in Tech Amergin from Thursday 11th December 2008.

Proceeds from the auction will go directly to the weavers at Setsoto Design and
Twinning the Kingdom’s Friends of Lesotho Waterville projects in Lesotho.

Following the auction the tapestries will be put on Twinning the Kingdom’s website where repeat tapestries
can be ordered up to a total limited edition of 25 of each piece. The price for the limited edition pieces will be set
following the auction and will not be lower than the selling price at auction.
